Postcard Mailing Creates the Buzz for Clearance Sales

With the birth of each child each day, a new toy is also born. If you own a shop that sells toys, this is how you may feel. Every day, something on your stock gets obsolete. You need to update what you’re selling in line with what your customers want. What about those that haven’t been bought? You can find an answer through postcard mailing.

Clearance Sale
Even if you are a small shop, you need to have a clearance sale at a time period during the year. This can be done at the end of the year so that you can start anew at the coming year.

Here are some reasons for you to have a clearance sale:

• You can get rid of overstock materials.
You may have stored many pieces of a hit toy in January that easily became outdated in March. As a result, until December, you still have a lot of stock of the same model.

• As per manufacturer’s request.
Some of the toys’ makers may have informed you that new models of the same type of toys will be out by next year. So you include in your clearance sale those toys that will soon be replaced.

• Items that have been on display for a long period of time.
You must also include on the event toys that you’ve been using for display and demonstration purposes. Make sure that those still look presentable and function properly.

• If you are moving to another location or will be closing your shop.

Advertise
For any event that will happen in your business, you need to advertise. This is also true with clearance sale. You have to let as many people know about it for all your items to be cleared.

There are actually many avenues that you can take when it comes to this. But one that has proven its effectiveness is postcard mailing.

By choosing the right printing company for such type of need, you can avail of a mailing list. This will be consisted of people who frequently buy the products that you offer. They may be toy collectors, parents who have children or adults who are kids at heart.

By directing the postcards to those types of people, your postcards will serve their purpose. Make sure that your cards contain all the information that your prospective customers may want to know about. And don’t forget to include your location and contact numbers.

An Affair to Remember
Make the date an event. Make people anticipate your clearance sale. Through your postcards, give hints of valuable items that will be available at really, really low prices.

Tell people through your cards to mark the dates on their calendars. Create catchy and exciting tag lines so that they will get hooked and will not easily forget about you and your promo.

On the day itself, make the promises you’ve done through postcard mailing come to life. This way, not only will the day be an event to remember but people will look forward to such occasion every year.
