While it may seem difficult to lose weight, the reality is that keeping weight off after you have lost it is often the most difficult aspect of dieting. Research indicates that most people start a new diet several times per year. During the time they are on the diet they often follow a strict, regimented eating plan and over a short period of time they do in fact lose weight. Unfortunately, once they veer off that restricted eating plan and return to eating normally, the weight piles back on. Furthermore, most yo-yo dieters not only regain the original amount of weight they lost during a period of one year, but often even exceed that weight gain.
