The first, creating your own product, might be a bit intimidating, especially if you are new to internet marketing. All you really need to do is understand what the differences are between them and then you can decide which method you prefer.

First of the three methods is buying resell rights. In this instance, you purchase the rights to sell someone else's product. It is basically buying wholesale and selling retail. You pay the owner of the product, which most often is an ebook, a fee for right to sell the product. That ebook then becomes your product and you sell it as if it were your own. You can't take credit for creating the product, you can just sell it.

The second of the three methods is buying private label rights. This is similar to buying resell rights in that you pay a fee to the creator for the rights to the product. As with the resell rights product, this becomes your product. There is one major difference from resell rights. With private label rights, you can take credit for creating the product. You can put your name on it as the author. In most cases you can also modify it by adding, subtracting or changing the content to make it more unique.

The final method listed is to become an affiliate. Thousands of products on the internet have affiliate programs. When you sign up to be an affiliate for a product, in essence you become a commissioned salesman for that product. You do not own the product or the rights to the product. You are paid a commission for any leads you generate that end up buying the product. It is not unusual to expect to paid from 50% to 75% commission for your work.

You can be very successful as an internet marketer even if you don't have your own product. It is easy to sell products such as ebooks even if you haven't written one. Through resell rights, private label rights and affiliate programs you can find an almost inexhaustible supply of products you can use to start your own online business and make money online.
