MLM Success - Turn Off The TV

I just don't have time to start a business. That's one of the biggest excuses we hear every week from people who claim they want to change their lives, they just don't have the time. It's not the truth but it is the excuse we hear frequently.

Did you know that the average American spends almost 30 hours a week watching Television? If you did nothing but eliminate TV from your life you would have ample time to work your business. The idiot box, sorry, the TV, will never help you get where you want to go in life! This is not a debate about the quality of TV programming or lack of quality TV, but it is a look into who we are as people. Television is just one of a massive list of excuses that people who claim to want more out of life cling to, to justify the fact that they are not as successful as they could be.

If you've started a new MLM business take a close look at how much time you currently spend watching TV, then ask yourself, how is that helping me become more successful? When you really stop to think about it all TV is really doing is taking time away from the things that should matter the most to you isn't it?

If you can't imagine life without TV we want to challenge you to record the stuff you think you can't live without and don't watch any TV for a week. Take the extra time that you would be watching the boob tube and invest it in your business and your family. You can go cold turkey for a week and if you can't then you should really do a close inspection of what you're getting from TV that you aren't getting in your life! Then take a look back in a week and see how you feel about what you've done. Did you accomplish more in your MLM business? Did your family life improve because you actually spent more time with your family?

The most successful people in America today watch very little TV and the least successful, watch the most TV. Do you think that's a coincidence? By the way, just so you don't think that excuses are limited to TV let me throw our a few other "here's why I can't start a business" excuses. I don't have the money! Do you smoke? Do you like Starbucks? Do you have breakfast, lunch or dinner at restaurants? Excuses are like armpits, everybody has them, and they all stink! You don't have to smoke, drink, go to Starbucks or eat out. If you are really broke you probably don't need to spend your money doing those things anyway!

Successful people are always willing to do what unsuccessful people are never willing to do. If you want to become successful in any MLM or any home based business you've got to change your behavior. Stop acting like an employee and start living like a business owner. It's not an easy transition for most of us since we've been employees all of our lives, and it's OK. If you won't make the transition you are destined to work for somebody else and make somebody else rich for the rest of your life. If that's all you want for you and your family, that's fine, but as for me and my house, that's not good enough for us!
