Astrology and the Part of Marriage

There's an Arabic Part that is actually called the Part of Marriage. This Part is one of the elements that will offer some clues and information into your relationships. First you find your Part of Marriage and then you can compare it to your partner's chart to see if there are any significant connections (and vice versa).

I often look to see if it contacts any of the "love" planets, or relationship planets and angles first such as: Venus, Moon, or the Ascendant/Descendant angles, also the Part of Fortune. It has also been found to be contacting Saturn or Jupiter. This can indicate that there is a strong inclination to marry the person who contacts your Part of Marriage, or vice versa.

It could also indicate what type of relationship you could have with this person. If it makes a harmonious aspect to one of your love planets or angles then marriage with this person could very well be a fortunate union. If, however, it makes a challenging aspect to one of your love planets, and especially to planets such as Mars, Pluto, Neptune, or Uranus, you could have trouble on your hands.

If it were to be contacting Mars for instance, you could have a battlefield for a marriage. With Pluto, there could be issues around control and power, and even possessiveness and jealousy. With Neptune the problematic issues could concern addictions or deceit. And with Uranus, there could be issues involving infidelity or a sudden break up.

With the more harmonious angles involving these planet, the issues are less problematic, or at least you're able to deal with them and maybe to even overcome the issue at hand.

You can also learn from your own Part of Marriage in your own chart as well. Does it make any contacts with your own planets and angles. This too can indicate what type of marriage you could possibly have. The good thing is, if you do have a difficult aspect within your own chart, but, you are or about to marry someone your Part of Marriage harmonizes with, you could have a more harmonious relationship.

Some people however don't have any Part of Marriage aspects with their partner, and I would have to say that the prospects of marriage are slim. So, if you are wondering about your long term potential and marriage prospects with a particular person you might want to check to see if you two have any significant Part of Marriage connections and what they are.
