How Long Should You Wait Around for Him?

The reality is that you will wait around for him until you realize that it's time to let him go and to move on with your life. The thing you should do however is to move on now. You shouldn't be waiting around for him. Why do you think you should put your life on hold until he realizes what he's lost? Why do you want to stick around and let him realize that it doesn't matter what he does, or how long it takes, you'll still be there waiting for him, and will accept him back? Come on; let's get some self-respect girls!

You are a person who deserves to have someone want them. You don't need to sit around waiting like a dog waiting for its owner to take it for a walk! You are a person who is worth more than crumbs from this guy's table! I know you may be saying that he's made a mistake, he just doesn't know it yet, but he will come back when he does. What if he does know and he doesn't care? He sure doesn't care that he's left you broken hearted!

It could happen that he does come back to you. He may even apologize for what he's putting you through now, but will you ever trust him again? Will you ever again have that security that your relationship is going to last, or will you always be watching out for the signs that he's going to leave once again?

Not waiting around for him doesn't mean that you won't go back to him if he ever wanted you back (although you should do some hard soul searching of yourself, and interrogation of him before you do so!), what it means is that you aren't putting the power over your life into his hands. You control your life. He doesn't. By waiting around for him, you are putting your life on hold until he decides he's coming back and there's not even a guarantee that he will come back! It's a gamble.

So why not get out there and have some fun while he's making his mind up. Roll those dating dice and you may find out that the gamble pays out big time, but with a completely different partner. If he thinks that you're waiting around at home, he's not going to be in any hurry to come back. If he sees you out on the town, having a great time and dating other guys, he's going to have to make a decision quick because otherwise he's going to risk losing you -- that reduces his control over the relationship you have together.

Don't make a mistake of waiting around for something that might never happen. If it doesn't, you'll regret all of the time you wasted. If it does happen, and you get back together, you showed him that you aren't going to be walked on and that if he leaves again you may not be there when he wants to come back next time.

Acknowledge that you a girl who is worthy of male attention, and if this guy isn't giving it, then there's no reason for you to sit around moping until he decides if he's coming back or not. Get out there and have some fun!
