The Art of Romanic Gift Giving: Setting the Mood

Giving gifts to your partner is always a romantic gesture. However, you can go the extra mile by giving a romantic gift in a romantic atmosphere. There are lots of ways to set the mood to give a romantic gift and here are a few scenarios you can use to set a romantic mood.

Come home from work before your partner does and run them a nice hot bubble bath in the tub. Lay scented candles around the bathroom and put some rose petals in the water. As soon as they come home from work, take their things from them to put away and take them immediately to the bathroom. Help them undress and get in the tub. Leave their favorite book beside the tub, or their MP3 player with romantic music loaded or a book of love poems. You could even write a poem for them yourself for them to enjoy while they relax in the bathtub. When your partner gets out of the tub, have a nice dinner waiting for them in the dining room. There should be candles lit on the table. Then present your romantic gift to them or show it off in the middle of the table as a lovely centerpiece.

Consider making the bedroom a love nest for your partner. Sprinkle roses on the bed and light scented candles to create romantic mood. Play soft, romantic music in the background. Have some body or massage oils ready in order to give your partner a nice massage.

Another idea is to think up a romantic treasure hunt for your partner. Start with a note on the front door and have them wind their way through the house to find the gift.

In the Diningroom: Have a glass of wine and some gourmet appetizers for them to carry with them and a note as to where to go next.

In the Livingroom: Place a single, long stemmed red rose on the table with a note guiding them to the next stop.

In the Bathroom: Run a warm bubble bath and place scented candles around the tub. Enjoy a sensuous bath together and then give them another note with instructions for the next step of their romantic journey.

In the Bedroom: This is the final stop of their romantic journey. You have already turned the bedroom into a love nest so now is to the time to give each other a loving massage.

Let your imagination run wild and have some romantic fun with your ideas. Remember, as long as you do it with love in your heart, the love in your relationship will grow.
