Sometimes when you purchase and unwrap a new toy that product may have a strong plastic smell to it. Almost like a new car would smell like. It is recommended to wash your dildo or vibrator thoroughly with warm soap and water or use a quality sex toy cleaner and leave it in the open air for a while.

Also you should use a condom over all your sex toys and products to ensure safety especially if you are sharing your sex toys. When you are finished using your toy and have thoroughly sanitized them you should store all your sex toys and products in an airtight container and out of direct sunlight.
