It happens for a number of Internet users – a number higher than some might have thought – to look constantly for manners of entertainment by browsing websites that cover sex-related matters. Of course, many go for images, and, even better than still pictures, they look for videos. Is it a basic need or is it rather a manner of spending spare time by doing something you enjoy? The answer will vary from one individual to another, as reasonably expected.

Since people seem to manifest so acutely a fondness for offering narratives of their entire lives for other people to watch them over the Internet, online pornography had little to struggle when it came to the will of users to do it. Practically, sites such as YouPorn and BangBros will not meet any opposition as concerns the motivation of users to access them and, even more, the drive of users to upload their own, home-produced movies. The latter situation applies particularly to YouPorn, a site where amateurs are keen on registering and uploading scenes from their sex life.

While mentioning motivation, when applied to YouPorn, it relates strictly to the desire – the rather nonstandard desire – of letting others peek into one’s private life. Something peculiarly similar to: “I am deliberately allowing you to observe parts of my life that should be the most intimate.” Indeed, sites such as YouPorn will allow more than just the regular peek into one’s own sexual background.

In other words, YouPorn remains an open pornographic video distribution website. Its beginning dates back to August 2006, which is spectacular, if we are to consider the extraordinary increase in popularity in only one year of functioning. The site is comparable in design to YouTube. Users are not aware of the identity of those who have initiated and who have been administering the website. However, the assumption is that the site has its basis somewhere in Germany.

On the other hand, the BangBros Network approaches the same activity – i.e. Internet pornography – at a level that one could appreciate as more professional. The same as the site we have already mentioned, BangBros is an adult website. However, as compared to the “upload-your-own-porn-video” alternative, this one benefits from a better-structured layout and a more comprehensive catalog of videos. At least, it appears to allot a greater importance to diversity in approaching Internet pornography.

Nevertheless, it has happened for the BangBros to come in conflict with the United States government. The issue did not concern directly the movies available on the network. It related to the failure of the site administrators to apply the label of “sexually explicit” in the subject column of e-mails addressed and distributed for commercial purposes. On the other hand, it did seem that they did not dispatch themselves the blameworthy e-mails, yet they remained legally responsible because they had used the services of another party to send the e-mails for them.

However, despite a series of visible moral and legal issues raised by such sites, Internet pornography remains popular among Internet users. The two sites that we have selected in this article form a rather insignificant portion of the bulk of Internet sites that promote pornography. The great amount of such porn sites has at the basis the desire of users of obtaining sexual manners of entertainment. The sites are explicit and can cover an ample range of interest – both from men and women – in sexual activities.
